2022 FRIENDS OF DISTINCTION REUNION

It was great so see so many of our FOD friends at this Reunion, our FIRST after two years of cancellations due to the Pandemic. It was a notable weekend, with a smaller but very energized and excited group and will be remembered as a special reunion.
Our Hosts laid out a great weekend from the very first moment at Registration, through the Meet and Greet, Hospitality Suite, Annual Meeting, Banquet and Cookout.
EVERYTHING was First Class in every detail for the entire weekend, even including pastries, coffee, juices for our annual meeting, and snacks and beverages throughout the weekend in the Hospitality Suite. Have we been spoiled for future reunions?
The Banquet Dinner and Dance was really amazing, and we enjoyed the fabulous venue, great catering and being pampered all night. The DJ did a great job and even some of us old folks got out on the dance floor to cut a rug. Excellent meal and staff by the way.
For the first time, we had a DJ performing at the Hospitality Suite for the Cookout, and he went into KARAOKE mode late in the afternoon. We all enjoyed this tremendously since we had consumed a few drinks by then and it and was hilarious. Kudos to the great voices of Deb Cunningham, Corey Griffin, Trammell Davis and others.
We enjoyed tons of food and generous libations all weekend and the ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs and smoked sausage for the cookout were really delicious. Special THANKS to the meat prep and grill crew - it was HOT as HELL grilling out in the sun -

The ladies in the Host group did an outstanding job of laying out and serving the tons of snacks, refreshments, hot and cold food, beverages and all required dinnerware all weekend.... notably Brenda Davis, Clara Griffin, Emile Ware, Jeanetta Bailey and others. A special nod to our once again great barmaid Dee Dee Davis who kept the (heavy) drinks flowing. I'm sure there were others who also contributed and if I didn't point them out, it is not intentional and we thank them also. (You can chew me out later!) Our Host Corey, was constantly on the move all weekend, making sure everything met his approval and taking care of all minor issues. He set the mark for the rest of us.
We all had a FANTASTIC TIME and are looking forward to CHICAGO 2023
